Deborah Thür is a legal expert and monitors regulatory developments in sustainable finance and corporate responsibility. She contributes to ECOFACT’s Policy Outlook analyses and helps clients prepare and implement compliance strategies that address sustainable finance and corporate responsibility requirements.

She considers human rights to be very important, and she believes that companies and financial actors play an essential role in achieving a more sustainable and equitable society and economy. Her academic and professional career is guided by this core value.

She completed her law studies (bachelor’s degree) at the University of Zurich and holds a master’s degree in human rights and democratization from the Global Campus of Human Rights in Venice and the University of Sevilla, where she focused on companies’ responsibility to uphold human rights. She joined ECOFACT after working within the legal teams of the Swiss Federation of the Deaf, FIFA, and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
