Simone Hutter
Legal Analyst

Simone Hutter is a legal analyst who monitors regulatory sustainable finance and corporate responsibility developments and translates the resulting expectations into concrete recommendations for the financial sector. She mainly oversees the Austrian, German, Swiss, and American jurisdictions. As a human rights specialist, she supports ECOFACT’s environmental and social due diligence and risk management consulting team and advises companies on human rights issues.

Since 2014 when she started at ECOFACT, she has observed upward momentum and continuous growth in sustainable finance and corporate responsibility regulatory requirements. This has reaffirmed the importance of the financial sector understanding both the legal requirements and more vitally, society’s evolving expectations and values that these emerging standards represent.

Simone holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Zurich (Switzerland), and completed her doctorate in international human rights law as a Visiting Research Fellow in Public International Law at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law in London (UK).
